
Rangers official media partner reacts as James Tavernier pens new deal
Heart and Hand are thrilled at the news that James Tavernier has signed an extension to his current long-term deal at Rangers.
On Wednesday, 17 August, the Gers have made an official announcement to convey the news to their followers that the club skipper has signed a new deal.
He had a contract at the club until 2024, and the new deal will now take him into his mid-thirties.
The official media partner shared their reaction on Twitter: “Tav’s (Tavernier) been an absolutely incredible signing. £200k for all that. Absolutely incredible really!”

The likes of Connor Goldson, Steven Davis and Allan McGregor have all penned a new deal at the club, but this news will delight all the Gers fans.
Tavernier move to Rangers from Wigan Athletic in 2015 and he has grown into a top-quality right-back at the club. In fact, he has become a club icon, after managing an incredible 85 goals from 353 appearances for the Light Blues.

He became the permanent skipper at the club under Steven Gerrard and guided the Bears to the historic 55th Premiership title two seasons ago.
The defender was outstanding last season as well and came very close to winning the Europa League silverware in Seville.
The 30-year-old remains one of the key players for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad and he can look to end his career at this iconic club.
