Rangers bank £4million windfall from Union Saint-Gilloise win, £1.5million now guaranteed
Rangers have banked £4million after smashing Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League qualifying rounds earlier this week, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [11 August, pg. 58] that at least £1.5million is set to follow through ticket income in the next round against PSV Eindhoven.
The Bears will then bank another huge windfall should they get past the Dutch and seal qualification for the group stages of the Champions League with everything on the line.

Writing in their latest snippet on Thursday morning, the Daily Record explained that the Light Blues are still raking in the cash from their European exploits.
“Rangers have secured a guaranteed £4million cheque after sealing their place in the Champions League play-off round against PSV Eindhoven,” they wrote.
“The Ibrox club will net the windfall after seeing off Union Saint-Gilloise on Tuesday night. You can also add at least £1.5million onto that fixed fee when it comes to ticket income ahead of the Dutch side arriving next week.”

Windfall.
Rangers will still be rolling in the money from last season’s antics in the Europa League, and they are already seeing their bank welcome constant profits.
Reaching the Champions League will take this closer to £40million, and along with the sales of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo, things are starting to look very ominous for those around us.
Of course, PSV Eindhoven are a very tough test and will potentially even come in as favourites, but that means absolutely nothing to us.
If we can take a lead to Holland after the first leg at Ibrox, anything is possible, and we have seen how many teams crumble when they come to Govan.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be happy with his side’s exploits so far, but it will mean nothing if we don’t get our heads down and reach these group stages.
This is years in the making, and the guaranteed windfall is just the first positive of many here.
