Richard Foster raves about Ryan Kent as Rangers lead 1-0 v Union Saint-Gilloise at half-time
Richard Foster has showered heaps of praise on Ryan Kent as Rangers have taken a 1-0 lead against Union Saint-Gilloise at Ibrox.
The BBC Sportsound pundit was particularly left impressed with the performance of Kent, who was brought into the starting line-up by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Kent looked lively throughout the first-half, and the Bears got their deserving goal through James Tavernier who scored from the spot.

“Kent brings a different dynamic. Union double up on him which creates space in behind the covering defender. They need to recognise that space is there,” said Foster, as relayed by BBC Sport Website (9 August).
Massive second half
Rangers need to keep their cool now. They got the much-needed breakthrough and Van Bronckhorst need to tell his players to keep believing in their abilities.
The Bears created some brilliant opportunities in the first half with Malik Tillman and Tom Lawrence making big impressions in the opening half.
However, the visitors did well to frustrate the home side. They defended deep and made it really difficult to break them down.
The timing of the goal has been crucial and it can change the complexion of the game.

The momentum will be shifted and the home side are expected to come up with more attacking vigour and energy. They just need to be patient and the second goal will come.
A handball from Van der Heyden earned them a penalty, as he tried to win a header. Once again, the Gers skipper stepped up and did the job for the club.
Scott Arfield is another who has impressed in the first half. He was everywhere on the pitch and made some excellent runs.
A massive 45 minutes is coming up, and the Gers must believe they can win this tie.
In other Rangers news, Celtic and the Gers are at loggerheads over a record-breaking SPFL midfielder and a bid for him has already been tabled.
