Confirmed Rangers starting XI v Kilmarnock in SPFL clash

Rangers have named their starting XI as they take on Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon at Ibrox.

New signing Ridvan Yilmaz makes his full debut for the club starting at left back while Glen Kamara drops to the bench in favour of Steven Davis.

Talisman, Alfredo Morelos returns as he is named on the bench for the Gers and Allan McGregor remains on the bench with Jon McLaughlin starting in goal.

Big game for the Gers.

After defeating Livingston in their first game of the season, the Gers will be eager to maintain their winning run in the SPFL.

This 3pm kick-off presents an opportunity for Rangers to get back to winning ways after their disappointing loss in Belgium on 9 August.

That night they looked devoid of any real attacking plan and were missing key creative players able to link play and create opportunities.

Knowing that they will most likely be going toe-to-toe with bitter rivals Celtic, and with the Bhoys also kicking off at the same time, they will be eager to get a win and maintain pace with the competition.

Also, with the second leg of the Champions League qualifier just round the corner, today’s game also presents a chance for the Gers to get a win to build momentum going into that crunch tie.

Kilmarnock salvaged a point in the first SPFL game of the season with Ash Taylor’s 91st-minute equaliser, and will not be easy customers.

In other Rangers news, it is likely that talisman Alfredo Morelos will return for the Gers.
