Rangers former winger Glenn Middleton makes club regret selling him
Rangers former winger Glenn Middleton may have just proved a point against his former club with a sublime solo goal against AZ Alkmaar.
The winger, who came through the youth ranks at Norwich, joined Dundee United after joining Rangers in 2018 and spending four years at Ibrox.
The 22-year-old scored a phenomenal goal for Terrors in their Europa Conference League qualifying round victory against Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar and may have made his former club regret selling him.
Rangers miss Middleton?
When Middleton first arrived in Scotland, there were high hopes for the then teenager, as despite not making any first-team appearances for the Canaries, was still a promising player for Norwich.
Adept at playing of either wing as well as through the middle on some occasions, he brought pace and trickery to the flanks as well as bundles of energy.

However, he was never able to assert himself in the first-team, being sent out on three separate loan spells during his Rangers tenure.
In the end, he left the Gers having made only 29 appearances for the club having scored five goals and provided five assists in four years.
Despite that disappointment, if his goal against AZ Alkmaar is anything to go by, it seems he may be finally ready to deliver on his potential.
Jinking in between defenders, maintaining possession with some neat ball control and curling a fine effort past Australian goalkeeper Mark Birighitti in the Alkmaar goal to give the Terrors the victory.
Only time will tell if the 22-year-old winger can maintain that form, but one thing is for sure, Rangers could have used a spectacular goal like that during their loss to Union Saint Gilloise.
In other Rangers news, the club have reportedly made a move for Denis Bouanga.
