Rangers must secure deals for Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos asap

This has been a massive transfer window for Rangers, despite losing two key players.

The Bears have lost two important players this summer in the form of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo, but they have used the money wisely to make some very good additions.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has made as many as seven new signings, with the likes of Ben Davies, Ridvan Yilmaz, Rabbi Matondo, Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence, John Souttar and Malik Tillman having all arrived at the club.

This is as close to a dream transfer window as one can imagine, and it can still get even better.

Rangers must secure new contract deals for Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos as early as possible. If both the players commit to their futures at the club, the Bears will have an enviable squad that can truly challenge for the title.

Both Kent and Morelos have less than a year remaining on their deals. While the club are working behind the scene to get them to sign a new contract, as long as they don’t sign it, there is always a chance that other clubs could make a move and lure them away from Ibrox.

The new season is now underway, and both the players are important to Van Bronckhorst’s plans. Losing them now or towards the end of the window would be a catastrophic blow for the club.

Every player has a price and sometimes the club have to consider the business side as well. But, big clubs hold on to their star players, and Rangers must do the same in this case.

In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson now has names lined up just in case Alfredo Morelos seals his exit this summer
