Rangers have named their first starting XI of the new Scottish Premiership season as they take on Livingston on Saturday afternoon at the Tony Macaroni.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has handed out numerous new debuts to his new signings with the likes of John Souttar, Tom Lawrence and Antonio Colak all starting as the Bears look to get off to a flyer.

Confirmed on their official Twitter account, Rangers have gone with the usual suspects too with Ryan Kent the main dangerman down that left-hand side.

Rabbi Matondo will unfortunately miss this one alongside Alfredo Morelos, with both a matter of days away from making their returns from injuries.

Another face that will be missing is Ridvan Yilmaz, who has been waiting for international clearance, something that has now arrived and he is set to join up with the squad soon.

They will all be watching on ready for the rest of the boys to go out there and put on a show.

This is it.

Here we go, the moment we have all been waiting for.

After a breathless 2021-22 season, it is going to be hard to live up to all of those amazing nights we enjoyed around Europe, but this is the first step towards that.

Getting off to the perfect start with plenty of goals and a clean sheet will be the main objective here, just as we did against the same opposition this time last year.

The Champions League qualifiers will obviously come around quickly on Tuesday too, but that has to be put to the back of everyone’s minds as we get underway domestically.

There are places up for grabs here, and the squad will know that potentially making them very dangerous opposition for Livingston, who did enjoy a great end to the last season.

We are minutes away rather than days and months now, and that feeling is already back in our stomachs – bring it on.

In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson now has names lined up just in case Alfredo Morelos seals his exit this summer
