Agent: Nikola Katic will not leave Rangers this summer
Rangers defender Nikola Katic will not be leaving Ibrox this summer, as per the player’s agent.
The Croatian defender has one year left on his present deal. He is one of the four players encouraged to leave the club this summer, but the big defender is not going anywhere.
The Atheltic reported on 26 July that Katic has been told he can leave in the summer window. Jack Simpson, Stephen Kelly and Glenn Middleton are other players who could leave this summer.
“We believe Niko will be staying in Glasgow,” said Mladen Kliskinic (his agent) to Scottish Daily Express.
“He has a contract with Rangers so he does not need to leave. We have not had any suitable offers from any other clubs.”

The Gers have lost one of their key players this summer with Calvin Bassey joining Ajax.
He was one of the standout performers last season, and his departure is a big loss for the club.
Rangers have added John Souttar to their ranks. He joined on a free transfer from Hearts, although that deal was secured back in January.
Katic is a fantastic defender who excelled under Steven Gerrard.
The giant centre-back spent last season on loan at Hajduk Split in his homeland, where he made a strong comeback after coming back from a long injury layoff.
Katic was regular under Gerrard in the 2019/20 season, but he missed the entire last season due to a nightmarish knee ligament injury.
With just a year left on his contract, he must do everything to impress the Dutchman. He will add depth and quality to the side, and Rangers will benefit from his experience if he stays put.
