Rangers ask four players to find new club before end of transfer window

Rangers have told four players to find a new club before the end of the transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The Gers have been very active in the summer where they have managed to make some notable signings.

As per the latest report, the squad is starting to take shape and the four players — Jack Simpson, Nikola Katic, Stephen Kelly and Glenn Middleton — have been asked to find a new club before the September 1st deadline.

The biggest name out of the four mentioned is Katic who has failed to live up to the hype after securing a move to Ibrox in 2018.

Forgotten Defender

Rangers are getting ready to prepare for the next campaign as they’ve made a number of important signings already.

The club as a whole have achieved a lot in the recent past but Katic played very little part in it if there was any.

It is because of this reason that he spent the last season on loan at Hajduk Split where he played 25 games for the club. In those 25 games, he accumulated seven yellow cards and played a total of 1,700 minutes [Transfermarkt].

Even though he prefers to play as a central defender, he can also occupy the right-back position. Therefore, he can prove handy to any team in a situation when they are having an injury crisis.

If he will leave the club this time around as well, even on loan, it might mark the end of his time at Ibrox because with just 59 appearances for the club in four years, it seems that the time has already run out for the Croatia international.
