Giovanni van Bronckhorst ready to move for even more Rangers transfers this summer
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is ready to move for more new Rangers transfers this summer, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [25 July, pg. 49] that the Bears are set to confirm Ridvan Yilmaz as their seventh signing of the window.
Van Bronckhorst admitted over the weekend that will likely be his last, but the door is still open for other arrivals should he lose any of his squad.
Writing in his latest snippet for the Daily Record, Michael Gannon shared the latest news on all things transfers at Auchenhowie and Ibrox this summer.
“Van Bronckhorst admitted at the weekend Yilmaz is likely to be his seventh and final signing of the summer,” he wrote.
“But it is understood the Gers boss will keep the door open for further captures if there are any more departures.”
Ross Wilson alongside Van Bronckhorst has proved to be the perfect match.
The Ibrox chief and boss have worked incredibly together in this window, with no real hiccups in a window that can be hard to get everything in place for the new season.
With the Scottish Premiership starting earlier for the World Cup later in the year and the Champions League qualifiers at the start of August, business needed to be concluded quickly.
Rangers are always prepared for exits though and with the contracts of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent now in their final years, that will take centre-stage.
It is reassuring to know that replacements are likely already lined up ready to go should the worst happen with those two though, and we all know the money is available to spend.
Yilmaz completes this squad as it stands, but don’t rule out more transfers between now and the start of September.
In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson now has names lined up just in case Alfredo Morelos seals his exit this summer
