Rangers complete all paperwork to finalise Ridvan Yilmaz transfer
Rangers have signed off on all of the paperwork to complete the signing of Besiktas defender Ridvan Yilmaz, according to Murat Ozen.
The Orta Cizgi journalist has reported that everything is now formally completed with the Turkish international now all set for the move to Ibrox.
The Bears will pay an initial £3.4million to get a deal over the line with £1.9million on the line in potential bonuses with a 20% sell-on clause also included.
Ozen shared all of the details on his personal Twitter account with everything now in place for Yilmaz to make his way to Scotland to get this one finalised.
€4m [£3.4m] transfer fee, €2.25m [£1.9m] bonuses,” he wrote.
“20% profit share. Paperwork is completed.”
Everything with Besiktas is now finished.
Yilmaz wants the move, and now he is the only thing that could stop it from happening.
With everything agreed and the paperwork signed, the Turkish international now just needs to sign his contract, complete the medical and finish his media obligations.
That should all be smooth sailing, and we should be seeing a new face through the door at Auchenhowie and Ibrox over this coming weekend, much to our delight.
This is a superb piece of business, and it is only going to cut into about 25% of what was brought in from selling Calvin Bassey to Ajax for that huge fee this week.
Ross Wilson’s model is really starting to come to light now with Bassey, Nathan Patterson and Joe Aribo likely to bring in over £50million, with all three of them replaced easily too.
After Antonio Colak there has been no hiccups in any deals, and that is exactly the type of plain sailing we want to see with Celtic doing little to nothing except turning loans into permanent deals.
Bring on the new season.
In other Rangers news, the club are under no pressure to sell Glen Kamara this summer.
