Rangers have agreed a £596,000 contract with Besiktas left-back Ridvan Yilmaz ahead of his move to Ibrox, according to Ertan Suzgan.

The Turkish TV reporter with over 200,000 followers on Twitter has shared that the defender has now signed to a five-year deal with the Bears ahead of the switch.

Rangers will now pay £3.4million upfront to Besiktas, including £1.9million in eventual bonuses as they look to replace Calvin Bassey after his move to Ajax.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Suzgun shared the major details of the contract with the details already signed off ahead of the move.

“Transfer fee: €4million [£3.4million] guarantee + €2.25million [£1.9million] bonus,” he wrote.

“20% from profit from next sale. Rıdvan Yılmaz signed a 5-year deal with Rangers.

“Ridvan’s salary is €700,000 [£596,000] + bonuses.”

Ticked off.

This one looks to be as good as done already.

The only thing now needed is for Yilmaz to jet into Glasgow or even Manchester and finish his medical tests before being announced to the Light Blues.

With the league fastly approaching as well as those Champions League qualifiers, having someone of Yilmaz’s quality on board is no doubt going to be a massive boost for the club.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson have been working in overdrive in recent weeks, and they have delivered massively with numerous new faces making their way in.

Rangers is now the place players want to be, and Yilmaz has snubbed new contract offers in Turkey to make this transfer happen, proving that exactly.

Once this is over the line our squad will be looking brilliant, but there will be another spot for an attacking midfielder to come in and strut their stuff over the next few years.

Bring it on.

In other Rangers news, the club are under no pressure to sell Glen Kamara this summer.
