Besiktas defender Ridvan Yilmaz may see Rangers as a stepping stone to the Premier League, according to Gokmen Ozcan.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the Fanatik journalist admitted that the Turkish wonder believes he can be successful with the Gers and is ready for the move.
Yilmaz is said to believe that what he can achieve in Turkey is limited, and is ready to explore the rest of Europe with a move to Ibrox in the coming weeks.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Ozcan shared the players’ thoughts: “He thinks that what he can do in Turkey is limited and he wants to go to Europe.
“Rangers have regained their former strength. Played in the final of the Europa League. Rıdvan thinks he can be successful at Rangers and make the transition to the Premier League.”
Rangers fans may not like the sound of this, but this is the model at Ibrox.
Ross Wilson knows if he can bring in the brightest young talents around, they could eventually bring in massive profit for the club down the line.
Calvin Bassey is the perfect example.
The Nigerian international was obviously much cheaper than the £5.6million bid currently in for Yilmaz, but he succeeded and has now been sold to Ajax for over £20million.
If Yilmaz makes the move to Glasgow and succeeds, he could earn that move to the Premier League and then maybe even smash that sales record once again.
In other Rangers news, the club are under no pressure to sell Glen Kamara this summer.
