Rangers offer better terms for Besiktas left-back Ridvan Yilmaz than Frankfurt

Rangers are reportedly offering Besiktas better terms than Eintracht Frankfurt to sign star left-back Ridvan Yilmaz this summer.

According to Fanatik journalist Gokmen Ozcan, the recent Europa League winners are also keen on the 21-year-old, but are not able to offer as lucrative a deal as the Scottish giants.

While both proposals are the same, it’s the one from Gers that Besiktas are looking at positively because of how it appears to be structured.

Via Twitter, Ozcan wrote, “Rangers offered Beşiktaş a bonus 6.5 million Euros for Rıdvan Yılmaz, plus a 20 percent share of the subsequent sale.

“The proposal is the same as in Frankfurt. But the payment terms are better. The club looks at the proposal positively. Rıdvan gave the green light to Scotland.”

Great news

The fact that Gers are able to offer better terms suggests that the club are willing to back Giovanni van Bronckhorst to the T this summer.

They know it’s not easy losing two of their best players, but their signings thus far have been impressive and they’re looking to add to them sooner rather than later.

Yilmaz would be a terrific addition and we back him to start over Borna Barisic despite his lack of experience of playing in the SPFL.

The Turkey international is a player who could kick on and hit the next level in Scotland and we’re hoping a fresh bid goes in for him.

The 21-year-old looks like he’s set to leave this summer and as things stand, Ibrox appears to be the most likely destination for him.

In other Rangers news, Celtic and the Gers are at loggerheads over a record-breaking SPFL midfielder and a bid for him has already been tabled.
