Bayern Munich open to loaning out Rangers target Malik Tillman

Bayern Munich are reportedly open to letting attacking midfielder Malik Tillman leave on loan amid Rangers interest.

According to ESPN’s leading Bundesliga voice Derek Rae, the Bavarian giants do not feel that the 20-year-old is good enough to challenge for the first team.

A loan possibility has been there for quite a while and the Daily Mail reports that Gers are looking to secure his services, albeit on a permanent basis.

Via Twitter, Rae wrote, “What we can say is that Bayern don’t feel Tillman is someone who is going to challenge for regular first team football at the moment & a loan has been a strong possibility for a while.”

Compromise needed

If Bayern see him as one for the future, they are unlikely to sanction a permanent exit this summer as he could feature in their plans for the coming seasons.

Gers are in dire need for midfield reinforcements and they should consider making a move for the 20-year-old even if it’s on loan.

In his own admission, Tillman has moulded his game on Paul Pogba and plays in similar attacking midfield roles as the Frenchman. [Bundesliga website]

Speaking of the player at the 2019 European Championship, Germany U17 coach Michael Feichtenbeiner said, “He’s very good on the ball. He can create combinations, and chances. He can also score. He’s a good midfielder, a No.8 for us, who can work defensively. But he’s better in attack. He has very good skills to spot the other players.”

By the look of it, the United States international appears to be an all-action midfielder and could give Giovanni van Bronckhorst exactly what he needs.

In other Rangers news, Celtic and the Gers are at loggerheads over a record-breaking SPFL midfielder and a bid for him has already been tabled.
