Rangers media partner gushes over Antonio Colak footage before Sunderland clash

Antonio Colak was spotted taking pictures with a bunch of Rangers fans ahead of their pre-season friendly against Sunderland on Saturday, July 9.

The game was 1-0 in favour of the Black Cats before a power failure saw it being called off.

However, it was a good sight for Gers fans as they got a glimpse of their new signing and he had a few chances to find the back of the net as well.

Reacting to the pre-game footage, Heart and Hand, the club’s official media partners, wrote, “I’ve decided I love him. Please be good.”

Excitement building

Colak’s certainly not one of the biggest names that has walked through the door over the past few seasons.

However, whenever a new player is signed, there is that excitement and intrigue to watch them play, especially if their job is to score goals.

The 28-year-old won’t be an upgrade on Alfredo Morelos but the Colombian faces an uncertain future at Ibrox and an exit could very well be on the cards for him.

From early glimpses, Colak does seem to have the maturity of leading the line for a club the stature of Rangers but we still need to see how good he is at consistently finding the back of the net.

He seems to be getting on well with the fans already and that’s always a positive as they can play a massive role in building and destroying confidence.

In other Rangers news, Celtic and the Gers are at loggerheads over a record-breaking SPFL midfielder and a bid for him has already been tabled.
