Rangers signing Gio Reyna will bring new life to Ibrox Stadium

Rangers are coming off the back of an impressive season where they won the Scottish Super Cup and ended up as the runners-up in the Europa League.

To build on that, manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is keen to add more quality to the squad of the previous campaign.

For this purpose, one of the players the Gers have been linked with is Borussia Dortmund’s young star Gio Reyna.

However, as per Transfermarkt reporter Manuel Veth, the deal is unlikely to be materialised as the management of the German club is hopeful to get the best out of the young midfielder in the upcoming season.

Perfect Player-Manager Relationship

Rangers are going through a rebuilding phase where some important players’ future is up in the air as they enter the final year of their respective contracts with the club.

In these testing times, the news of the arrival of one of the most sought-after talents in Europe will definitely going to be a big boost for Rangers fans who would just love to see someone like Reyna playing for their club in the upcoming campaign.

The United States international prefers to play as an attacking midfielder. However, he can also play as a wide creator because of his incredible crossing range.

In the 2021-22 season with Dortmund, he scored two goals and provided two assists in all competitions [Transfermarkt].

This is the sort of player that Van Bronckhorst would love to have, given his close relationship with Reyna.

The Light Blues were severely hampered by the injury to Ianis Hagi in the middle of the last season and wIth the arrival of Reyna, the Dutch manager can bring back the creativity in midfield.
