Rangers now in advanced talks to sign Rabbi Matondo in another summer transfer move

Rangers have now moved into advanced talks to sign Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo this summer, according to Loic Tanzi.

The RMC Sports journalist has shared that the Welsh international is also wanted by French duo Lorient and Brest, who could provide serious competition.

It is shared that despite the Bears advancing the potential transfer, the two French clubs are trying their best to convince him into a move elsewhere rather than Ibrox.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Tanzi shared the latest as the Bears push to complete yet another new signing in the next week.

“In advanced contact with Rangers Rabbi Matondo is the subject of interest from Lorient and Brest who are trying to convince him to sign,” he wrote.

Here We Go.

Ross Wilson has really put his foot on the gas in this past week.

It looks clear that the Bears were waiting to get a deal over the line for Antonio Colak after all of that trouble, and Tom Lawrence has since been confirmed after that.

Now Matondo is next in line for the move to Ibrox as Giovanni van Bronckhorst really looks to strengthen in the final third with numerous new additions.

Joe Aribo is moving on and doubts surround the likes of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, so it looks smart to get numerous attacking moves over the line.

With talks advanced, this one could move very quickly in the next 24-48 hours as the Bears look to get some serious business over the line ahead of the new season.

Matondo will offer serious skill as well as that European experience having played in both England and in Germany, so this could be a really smart piece of business.

In other Rangers news, the Bears are set to have funds released for major new transfer activity with one exit now all but done
