Rangers win the race to sign Tom Lawrence, move to be done in days - Chris Jack

Rangers have now won the race to sign Tom Lawrence, according to Chris Jack.

The Glasgow Evening Times journalist has reported that a deal could be within days for the Welsh international, who is currently a free agent after leaving Derby.

Antonio Colak has finally been confirmed as a Rangers player, and it looks as though Lawrence will follow him through the door at Ibrox imminently.

Rangers have moved quickly to secure Lawrence ahead of Sheffield United, with the Bears expecting the winger in Glasgow within a matter of days.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is currently in Portugal with the rest of the squad, but Ross Wilson is getting these deals in place quickly to make sure the squad is ready.

It is unknown whether or not Lawrence will jet out to Portugal, but it will depend on how quickly this deal gets done with Rangers now having a free path.

Here We Go.

This is more like it.

After a very quiet first month to the transfer window, Wilson and the Bears are really starting to put their foot on the gas and bring in the players they desperately need and want.

That first month was clearly used to strengthen the academy, and so many young talents were brought in.

Now, we are in a position where all eyes are on the first team and Lawrence is going to join Colak this summer, and John Souttar who was confirmed back in January.

Lawrence is capable of the spectacular, and that is something that will immediately get him hero status at Ibrox if he can deliver that on the biggest nights.

John Lundstram was the last free-agent signing from England and look what he has gone on to do, now it is time to back Lawrence with that same energy.

Here we go, again.
