Rangers to strengthen all over the park as Antonio Colak move now done - Chris Jack

Rangers are going to be in the transfer market for reinforcements throughout their squad in the coming weeks, according to Chris Jack.

The reliable journalist has reported that now Antonio Colak has become Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first major summer signing, attention will now quickly switch.

The Bears are said to want arrivals in at Ibrox ahead of the new season kicking off, which gets underway in a matter of weeks at the end of July.

Writing in his column for the Glasgow Evening Times, Jack shared what else to expect once the deal for Colak is confirmed in the coming days.

“The Croatian international will become Van Bronckhorst’s first signing of the window and Rangers remain in the market for further reinforcements across the park ahead of the new domestic and European campaigns that kick-off in the coming weeks,” he wrote.

One down, many to come.

Colak is now through the door and that brings to an end a huge saga.

Van Bronckhorst are currently out in Portugal with the squad, and Ross Wilson will have been in overdrive with multiple plates no doubt spinning as things stand.

With big doubts surrounding many members of this squad, and Joe Aribo closing in on an exit, multiple new signings will be needed to keep this squad competitive.

Celtic shot out of the blocks very quickly to get some deals over the line, but now it is down to Rangers to hit back with numerous deals of their own, and not just turn loans into permanent moves.

John Souttar was finalised back in January, and Colak is done, so other deals for wingers and a new playmaker to replace Aribo will be needed after that.

The spine of the side that did so well last season will stay the same, but better depth looks to be the main goal.

In other Rangers news, the Bears are set to have funds released for major new transfer activity with one exit now all but done
