Antonio Colak set to leave Netherlands immediately as Rangers close in on deal

Rangers are reportedly within hours of reaching an agreement to sign PAOK striker Antonio Colak this summer.

According to Greek media outlet SDNA, within a matter of hours, the two teams are expected to agree on a transfer fee ahead of the proposed move.

The 28-year-old, who is in the Netherlands currently, will leave for Scotland to seal the formalities of his move to Ibrox.

Final details left

After two failed bids, it seems like the Scottish giants are finally closing in on a move for the striker and are expected to get their man.

He has been keen to move since the initial links and that played a huge role in getting this over the line.

The report mentions that Rangers’ persistence in signing the player was key in completing this move and now it’s down to the final bits in the transfer.

Hopefully, there are no more late snags as Gers look to seal their first major first-team transfer of the summer and get Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s desired man.

This should now see the club focus on other departments as they need at least five more signings before the window shuts in August.

With Joe Aribo looking likely to part ways with the club, getting a replacement in for him is paramount and it’s not going to be easy replacing a player with his attributes as he’s arguably the most versatile player in the SPFL.

In other Rangers news, contract talks with a key player have hit a new impasse with a summer exit now on the cards.
