Rangers official media partner reacts to news emerging from Ibrox

Heart and Hand are thrilled at the news that Cole McKinnon has signed a new three-year deal at Rangers.

On Wednesday, June 29, Gers made an official announcement to convey the news to their followers that their teenage sensation has committed his future to the club.

His current deal was set to expire at the end of June, but he always seemed likely to pen an extension at Ibrox.

Gers tweeted the news saying, “Rangers Football Club are delighted to announce Cole McKinnon has signed a new three-year deal with the club.”

To which their official media partners reacted, “Excellent”.

Good news

McKinnon was handed his senior debut on the final day of last season as the side had nothing to play for and Giovanni van Bronckhorst felt it would be worth the effort.

The midfielder had impressed for the B team so it made a lot of sense to give him a chance to prove his worth in the SPFL.

He did not disappoint as he bagged a goal on his debut after he replaced Aaron Ramsey in the 60th minute of the contest.

Avid Gers watchers will have been reading about him and there was real intrigue to see him step onto the pitch.

He lived up to many people’s expectations with a goal and he already looks like a confident player ready to take the step up and become a regular senior player.

Hopefully, he’s given chances to prove his worth in pre season as he certainly merits opportunities to play with the first team.

In other Rangers news, contract talks with a key player have hit a new impasse with a summer exit now on the cards.
