Rangers agree personal terms and transfer fee to sign PAOK striker Antonio Colak

Rangers have reportedly agreed personal terms for the signing of Giovanni van Bronckhorst target Antonio Colak.

According to Sky Sports, Gers have also agreed a transfer fee for the 28-year-old striker which is believed to be in the region of £1.8million.

The Greek club are yet to decide if they will sanction the exit of the Croatia international despite a fee agreement with the 55-time SPFL champions.

Done deal?

All things appear to be falling into place in order for Gers to secure the services of the striker and complete their first major signing of the window.

The fee is on the lower side as there have been reports of them tabling bids higher than that, but there could be additional clauses that could take the price up.

Regardless, this is a good sign of the club backing the Dutchman in his first summer window in charge, which is paramount.

Not only do Celtic have the advantage of the Champions League revenue, they also have a squad that managed to beat their cross-town rivals to the title last season.

This meant that Gers would have to use their contacts in the market to get deals done on the down low, either through the influence of the manager or people in the hierarchy taking their job extremely seriously and negotiating the best deal possible.

For this money, Colak appears to be a highly economical signing and would be lethal with or without Alfredo Morelos in the final third.

In other Rangers news, contract talks with a key player have hit a new impasse with a summer exit now on the cards.
