BBC pundit wowed by Rangers ace Ryan Kent in big Premier League view

Pat Nevin has gushed over “class act” Rangers forward Ryan Kent, insisting that he has the most vision at the club.

The winger was involved in 27 goals across all competitions in 2021/22 whilst putting in key performances to help the Light Blues reach the Europa League final.

Despite being good enough for a Premier League move, the BBC pundit hopes the former Liverpool ace stays in Scotland.

Nevin said as per Daily Record: “Kent is a class act, the player with the most vision at Rangers, without a doubt, by a distance.

“Until about a year ago, he was among the most obvious in Scotland who could make the jump to the Premier League.

“He had that game awareness that you need at the top level as an attacker. But even so, it is tough and the same goes for Jota.

“The jump from the SPFL to the Premier League as an attacking creator is different from a defender. To be able to create goals at that level on a weekly basis is really hard.

“Both of them could have a good dig at it but I hope both stay in Scotland and I think they are both suited to it.”

Stay.

It seems as if Kent’s Premier League ship has somewhat sailed or at least it ought to have.

As Nevin eluded to, over the past couple of seasons the Englishman has been in white-hot form and a move down south wouldn’t have shocked anyone.

The Winger was bursting with confidence and potentially in the best form of his career but that has somewhat calmed now.

There hasn’t been too much transfer speculation surrounding the during the summer window which leads you to think that the interest in him has dropped significantly but there is still plenty of time for that to change.

He proved last season that he was one of – if not – the best Gers players in Alfredo Morelos’ absence.

It was tough for everybody in attack at times last season but Giovanni van Bronckhorst would have been in bigger trouble if it weren’t for the attacker.

Hopefully, he stays at the club a while longer.
