Rangers need to be in for a new goalkeeper to avoid potential crisis

Rangers find an adequate solution for their current goalkeeper uncertainty with Allan McGregor set to leave the club, according to a report by The Scotsman.

The Gers veteran has faced an uncertain Ibrox future for quite some time now and much to the supporters’ fears, he looks set to leave the club.

With the Light Blues veteran still not signing a deal to keep him at Ibrox, he may be tempted by the highly attractive talks of him moving to the middle east with it being hard to see him retiring as it currently stands.

The 40-year-old proved last season that he still has what it takes to play at the top level and you wouldn’t blame him for taking the opportunity to rake in mega-money before he inevitably does hang up his boots.

It will be a huge loss for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and one the Dutchman must address before the Bears regret it next season.

The man in the shadow of McGregor for quite some time now Jon McLaughlin signed a new deal back in [30] January as reported by BBC.

He is the man that many expect will replace the Rangers legend once he leaves the club.

However, that is a very risky move with the 34-year-old not displaying any signs of being able to perform over the course of an entire season having rotted away on the bench for a very long time now.

There is absolutely no doubt that he is a sound number two but surely the Light Blues will want to improve on McGregor rather than settle for second best?

They simply have to be in for a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2022/23 season – that is vital.
