Rangers star Ianis Hagi provides major update regarding injury rehab
Rangers attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi has provided fans with encouraging news about his recovery from a knee injury.
The Romania midfielder has been out of action due to a devastating knee injury that he suffered against Stirling Albion in January earlier this year.
However, the 23-year-old was quoted by the Daily Record where he highlighted the kind of rehab he is going through.

“I’ve been working a lot on the leg, trying to get it strong and getting ready to be back on the pitch as soon as possible,” Hagi said. “We’ve been focusing a lot on the balance, on strength as well as the other part, the upper body just to stay fit.
“I’m really happy with how everything is going and my knee feels really good.”
Missing Piece of the Jigsaw
In the 2021-22 season, Rangers produced two different forms of performances, one with Hagi and one after his disturbing knee injury.
Before his absence, the Gers used to score goals for fun and always relied on their attacking instincts to get the better of their opponents.

However, after the injury to the 23-year-old, the Scottish club became resilient and tried to be clinical with the smallest chances that were available to them.
This is the same tactic that they used in the Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt but they lost on penalties.
Many believe that if Hagi was available for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men, Rangers might’ve won the competition.
In the 2021-22 Scottish League, the Romanian international made only 15 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist [Transfermarkt].
Now as they would want to close the gap on Celtic next season, they would need the central midfielder urgently as they lack midfielders who can keep the ball moving and create chances for the strikers consistently.
The fixtures have been announced, and let’s hope Hagi will be ready for them.
