Rangers must cash in on star striker Alfredo Morelos to reinvest in squad
Rangers simply have to sell star forward Alfredo Morelos in the summer transfer window before he leaves the club for free at the end of 2022/23.
The Columbia international was involved in 27 goals for the Light Blues in 2021/22 despite being injured for large parts of the campaign.
Make no mistake, he is a hugely important player and this will be a major blow to Giovanni van Bronckhorst but the Gers can’t allow a player of his calibre to go for free after the latest developments from BBC Scotland journalist Fraser Fletcher.

He wrote on his personal Twitter: “My sources tell me interest in Alfredo Morelos is high but no offers on table.
“I’m also told Rangers want him to stay at the club as his deal reaches its last year.”
With his Ibrox exit being highly anticipated for quite some time now, it is very unlikely he will sign a new deal with the Bears.
As previously said, he is hugely important to Glasgow outfit but one season’s worth of goals is certainly not worth the striker leaving on a free.

They would be far better recouping a sizeable transfer fee for the striker to be reinvested back into the squad that is in desperate need of attention ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
According to transfermarkt, the sharp-shooter is worth just under £12million but if the Gers played their cards right they could get a lot more for his services.
In an ideal world, Morelos would not only stay next season but he would sign a new deal keeping him with the Light Blues for the foreseeable future.
However, we don’t live in an ideal world and the Bears chiefs can’t afford to bury their heads in the sand any longer.
