Galatasaray launch £6million bid to sign Rangers ace Ianis Hagi

Galatasaray have launched a £6million bid for Rangers ace Ianis Hagi as they look to prise the attacker away from Ibrox in the summer, according to reports by sport.ro.

The 23-year-old has made only 15 league appearances for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side after suffering an ACL injury in January.

The Gers are set to reject the bid with them still valuing the forward as a key player for next season.

However, with Hagi born in Istanbul whilst his dad – a Galatasaray club legend  – played there as well as his previous admission that he would like to play for the Cimbom at some point in his career, they haven’t given up hope.

Roma was also said to be interested in signing the versatile forward before his season-ending injury occurred.

No chance.

Why on earth would Rangers invest so much time and money into Hagi just to sell him on just two years later?

There is no doubt that he is a brilliant player. The former Genk ace has shown many signs of not only how good he is now but how good he might become one day during his time at Ibrox.

He was a mainstay under Gerrard and van Bronckhorst certainly took a liking to him when he took over from the Aston Villa manager.

Of course, his terrible injury wasn’t ideal. It completely stopped him in his tracks – ruining all of the progress he made in Glasgow as he continues to develop.

Hopefully, he can come back and pick up where he left off because it would be a massive shame if he takes a long time to get back up to pace which can often be the case with serious injuries like the one he suffered.

The Light Blues will be gutted if one of their very promising player’s time at the club is ruined due to injury.

In other Rangers news, a Sky journalist has predicted a big-name player to be done at Rangers after his Instagram post.
