Adrian Durham highlights ‘crazy problem’ in midfield for Rangers ahead of EL final v Eintracht Frankfurt
Adrian Durham believes Giovanni van Bronckhorst has “crazy problems” in his midfield ahead of Rangers’ huge Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Bears could potentially have Aaron Ramsey back to full fitness, having featured for an hour in the Gers’ 3-1 win over Hearts on Saturday [14 May].
Durham believes Ramsey being fit along with Kemar Roofe potentially being fit could mean a selection headache for van Bronckhorst.

Talking on talkSPORT breakfast on Tuesday morning [06:30, 17 May] Durham said: “If he is fully fit you can’t leave Ramsey out.
“There’s another little problem there with the midfield because if think he will play Kemar Roofe if he is fully fit and that means Joe Aribo will drop back into midfield.”
Durham added: “They’re strong in midfield so who do you leave out, it’s a crazy problem to have and van Bronckhorst has got to solve that problem.”
Don’t change what isn’t broken
This is a good problem for the Rangers boss to have, however, he should persist with what has worked in previous rounds.
Aribo thrived in a more central role against RB Leipzig before coming off injured and playing well in the first half against Ross County.
The Nigerian international was then rested for Rangers’ Scottish Premiership conclusion at Hearts and it looks likely that he will feature from the outset in Sevilla.

Ramsey and Roofe are both excellent options but both didn’t feature in the previous rounds and are returning to full fitness.
Introducing them in the latter stages off the bench seems the most sensible ploy for van Bronkhorst to adopt.
Ramsey has featured in plenty of big European nights and could be a good creative option to look to if Rangers are chasing the game in the latter stages.
Aribo’s form this season, particularly in the Europa League means he simply has to start in the final in a central position.
His quick feet, pace and physicality could cause Frankfurt’s defence plenty of problems.
