Michael Beale reacts on Twitter after Rangers reach Europa League final

Michael Beale has shared a brilliant message on Twitter after Rangers booked a place in the final of the Europa League.

The Gers produced arguably their best performance of the season, as they won 3-1 (and 3-2 on aggregate) against RB Leipzig to knock them out of the competition.

The Scottish giants will face another German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League in Seville.

Beale wrote on Twitter: “Outstanding achievement (from) Rangers. That group of players/staff are a family.

“After a terrible few days, they have pulled together & put in a huge performance. Absolutely delighted. Each one signed with a dream of playing in Europe. Now they will play in a European final.”

After coming from a goal down from the first leg, the Gers needed a strong performance at home.

They have been superb throughout the campaign at Ibrox, and on this occasion as well, the Ibrox factor played a huge role.

The Gers took control of the game inside the opening 25 minutes, with goals from James Tavernier and Glen Kamara putting them 2-0 ahead.

The atmosphere at Ibrox was electrifying and every Rangers player gave their all on an emotionally charged night that also mourned the passing away of Jimmy Bell.

Christopher Nkunku’s 32nd goal of the season levelled the tie, but the Gers sealed their destiny after John Lundstram’s effort on goal shook Ibrox with 10 minutes left.

From there on, there was only one winner. Leipzig couldn’t find a way to get another goal.

The Gers players were in absolute disbelief after the final whistle. Rangers are now on the brink of winning their first major European trophy after 50 years.

In other Rangers news, this Ibrox employee is being lined up for a big job by a Scottish club.
