Aaron Ramsey seen in Rangers training ahead of RB Leipzig game

Rangers have a significant injury boost for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final against RB Leipzig with Aaron Ramsey seen back in training.

The Welsh midfielder hasn’t played for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side since limping off the pitch in the 2-1 victory over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final on

And now footballscotland (4 May) have shared the image of the 31-year-old taking part in warmups with his teammates during their preparation for the all-important clash at Ibrox.

Good News

Whilst he hasn’t managed to really get going in his spell at Ibrox so far having someone as experienced at the highest level as Ramsey back for the upcoming tie is a massive boost for van Bronckhorst.

The Welshman played plenty of European football during his time at Arsenal and Rangers will need all his know-how as they look to overturn the deficit against a very capable RB Leipzig side.

Roared on in front of a boisterous home crowd though who knows what could happen?

They did extremely well to shut up shop during the first-leg in Germany and it was only a late beauty from Angelino that flew past Allan McGregor which sees them a goal behind going into this one.

If they can play with similar solidity and show a little bit more going forward, it could be another historic night for van Bronckhorst’s men.

In other Rangers news, Jermain Defoe has joined in with the tributes for legendary kitman Jimmy Bell.
