Tam McManus slams Rangers defender Borna Barisic v Celtic
Tam McManus has slammed Rangers defender Borna Barisic after he made a costly mistake against Celtic.
In a pulsating Old Firm clash, the Gers managed a 1-1 draw following a superb spirited second-half performance from Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side.
The Bhoys took the lead through Jota’s close-range finish and they are now closer to winning the Scottish Premiership title.
McManus tweeted: “Barisic again. Sleeping. Great movement from Jota but he is clinical. He scores Kent doesn’t that’s the difference.”
Is the title race over now? It seems so.
Ange Postecoglou’s side stay six points clear with only three games remaining and it will need a miracle from here if Rangers claw back to win the title.
However, Van Bronckhorst will be really proud of the effort shown by his boys in the second half.
Ryan Kent got a glorious opportunity to score for the Gers in the first half, but he couldn’t hit the target.
In the second half, it was complete domination from the visitors, with Fashion Sakala leading the charge.
It was a full-throttle derby game, with players giving everything on the pitch.
Barisic was disappointing throughout but Sakala, Scott Wright, and John Lundstram made a huge impact in the second half, with the former scoring a fantastic goal to level the tie.
He could have won the game for the Gers but unfortunately, the striker could only manage to hit the bar from close range.
