Super Computer predicts if Rangers will usurp Celtic to SPFL title
Rangers are handed just a five per cent chance of beating Celtic to the SPFL title as they’re six points adrift.
The season has come to its business end and both teams have already played 33 games.
Recently, the two sides met in the Old Firm derby and the Hoops ended up winning it 2-1 which saw them extend their lead at the top of the table.
FiveThirtyEight crunched the numbers on their Super Computer and do not expect Celtic to lose their lead at the top.
The two sides will be meeting again on May 1 at Celtic Park and despite that, the league leaders have a 95 per cent probability of winning the crown.
The prediction suggests that Rangers will not be beating Celtic in the Premiership next month.
That game is the only chance for them to win the title and they will treat it as a cup final.
A win in the Scottish Cup will certainly give them momentum and have the advantage going into the game.
Alfredo Morelos is surely going to be a big miss but even in his absence, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men managed to get the job done.
We’re hoping for a repeat of that in the league and a win there will be special for so many reasons.
However slender the chances as long as Gers are in the chase, they will not give up the fight.
In other Rangers news, a Super Computer predicts if they are on course to clinch the Europa League title.
