Super Computer predicts Rangers chances of winning Europa League title

Rangers have been handed just a 22 per cent chance of reaching the final of the Europa League ahead of their semi-final clash against RB Leipzig.

The SPFL champions made hard work of Braga in the quarter-finals and going into the final four, they are the least favoured team to win the competition.

FiveThirtyEight’s Super Computer crunched the numbers to give them just a 10 per cent chance of winning the tournament.

RB Leipzig are expected not just to beat Rangers, but also to go on and win the entire competition.

West Ham are the second favourites and per the prediction, set to face the Bundesliga side in the final.

Leipzig have been on the back of some humiliating defeats this season, both in the league as well as in Europe.

They’re also known to be a selling club and have not built a team around key players for a while.

Gers, on the other hand, have a core crop of players that have featured extensively under Steven Gerrard as well as Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

In games such as this one, those are the kinds of players managers can rely on.

On paper, this game is evenly balanced so we’re surprised to see why Leipzig have been billed as the overwhelming favourites.

It’s time for GvB and co to silence their critics and end up booking a spot in the final.

In other Rangers news, the club have terminated a major deal citing a breach of contract which also comprises of significant branding issues.
