Aaron Ramsey and Ryan Jack available, trio ruled out – Early Rangers team news v Aberdeen

Aaron Ramsey and Ryan Jack are available for Rangers when they take on Aberdeen on Saturday, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed.

Speaking to the media on Friday (4 March) ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox, van Bronckhorst said that Filip Helander is also back in contention.

Ianis Hagi, Steven Davis and Amad Diallo are going to be the only absentees.

As quoted on Rangers’ official Twitter account, van Bronckhorst said: “We have more players available. Helander, Jack and Ramsey are back.

“We are only missing Hagi, Davis and Diallo.”

Time to turn it around

Although we won on the road on Wednesday night at St Johnstone, the performance was woeful.

Star players like Allan McGregor, Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield and James Tavernier seem to have lost their form in domestic fixtures and that’s a massive worry.

Alfredo Morelos and Calvin Bassey were probably the only players with pass marks at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday but that’s really not on.

Every single player needs to be pulling their weight.

We’re four points behind Celtic, one more slip up and that could be it in our bid to win the Premiership title.

Champions League group stage football hinges upon winning the league this season and, therefore, so does the financial situation at Ibrox.

If we’re to keep hold of our big players like Morelos, like Glen Kamara and like Kent, then we need to qualify for the Champions League group stages and pocket all the money that comes with it.

Otherwise, the summer could see a massive change at Ibrox and will throw into doubt whether or not we’ll be able to challenge Celtic next season.
