Giovanni van Bronckhorst drools over Rangers winger Ryan Kent
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has showered heaps of praise on Rangers winger Ryan Kent, suggesting he is getting better.
The 25-year-old was superb in Germany as Rangers picked up a 4-2 victory in the first-leg against Borussia Dortmund to put them in the driving seat for the Europa League last-16 place.
Owen Hargreaves, while commentating on the game, was so impressed that he compared Kent with Franck Ribery (Football Scotland).

Van Bronckhorst feels that the comparison is not far-fetched as they are alike in their playing style.
The Dutchman has suggested that Kent has stepped up his game in recent weeks, and that’s a very good sign for the Gers.
“I can see the comparison because I think they are both playing the same way. They are not very big, they move very alike and can beat players in a one against one,” said Van Bronckhorst, as quoted by Daily Record.
“So I’m really happy for Ryan with the performances he is putting in and the danger he has when we are attacking.
“Also his defensive work was also impressive. He is becoming a better player every game.
“Hopefully we can improve his performances and development but he is definitely one of the players who is stepping up his game in recent weeks.”
Big positive
Rangers fans will be pleased to hear what Van Bronckhorst has said about Kent as he observes him daily in training.
If he feels, the winger is getting better, and that is reflected in his game, it means there’s a lot more to come from him in the near future.
At times, he was simply outstanding against Dortmund where he just glided past opposition players with ease. He lifted the rest of his teammates, and inspired them to come up with one of the memorable wins in Rangers’ recent history.

What has been really impressive about him is that he is gradually becoming a complete winger under the Dutchman. He is contributing a lot in defence as well which makes him a valuable asset.
The better he plays, his stock will rise, and Rangers can extract a big money from his sale if there’s an opportunity.
However, that would be decided later. For now, his form could be key for Rangers to enjoy another successful season.
