Jim White poses major Aaron Ramsey-Rangers question, Ally McCoist emphatically responds

Jim White has questioned if Aaron Ramsey will be ready to make his Rangers debut against Celtic on Wednesday evening.

With the gap in the Scottish Premiership cut once again over the weekend, the next instalment of the Old Firm is the biggest in years.

Ally McCoist responded emphatically to White, insisting that “of course” the major signing can make his debut at Parkhead.

Speaking live on talkSPORT in the past 12 hours, White was reacting to one of the biggest pieces of business on deadline day.

“He hasn’t had game time at Juventus,” he said. “He surely can’t feature on Wednesday, Ally, or can he?

McCoist jubilantly responded and expected a huge debut tomorrow evening in the biggest game there is.

“Of course, he can, Jim,” he said. “Get him in, what are you thinking about, it’s Celtic at Celtic Park, get him.

“We didn’t bring him in for sitting with the reserves at home.”

Rangers

Get him in.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has already shown in the past week that he isn’t afraid to throw a new signing straight into the mix.

Amad Diallo arrived on loan from Manchester United with little-to-no time before the Ross County clash, but he started and scored within five minutes – shining throughout.

Now, the Old Firm is obviously a different kettle of fish, but Ramsey is a player used to the huge occasions from his time around Europe.

The Welshman will be relishing the trip to Celtic Park, and he is exactly what we’ve been missing in midfield, that box-to-box option, with Scott Arfied not at his best last time out.

It will be interesting to see what system Van Bronckhorst uses tomorrow, with Cedric Itten surely one of those to drop out.

Will Ramsey start? We certainly hope so.
