Rangers want to sign Ludogorets star Kiril Despodov - report
Rangers want to sign Ludogorets star Kiril Despodov in the January transfer window, according to Tema Sport.
The Bulgarian outlet have reported on their website that the Bears are looking to strengthen their attacking options.
Numerous clubs are said to be interested in Despodov, though, with the likes of Istanbul Basaksehir and Olympiakos mentioned.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has already strengthened two parts of his squad, John Souttar in defence and James Sands in midfield.
Now, all eyes are leading to another addition out wide or another central striker – although that role is now filled by Cedric Itten’s return.
Despodov would be a fantastic option.

The 25-year-old has an eye for goal, scoring nine goals in all competitions this season, but what is more impressive is his ability to set up goals.
The winger has 12 assists during this campaign, including four in one game during the Bulgarian Super Cup final.
Perfect.
Despodov is the creative spark that we are crying out for in wide positions at Ibrox, with more support needed for Ryan Kent.
Alfredo Morelos would be licking his lips at these stats, especially the four assists in one game, knowing that he is guaranteed multiple chances in games.
Described as “Incredible” in clips online, Despodov would bring another level of flair to Glasgow and push for that wide spot that is currently open.
Kent and Morelos are all-but-guaranteed to start at this moment in time, but the right-hand side switches between the likes of Ianis Hagi and Scott Wright.
With two weeks to go in the window, it is time for Ross Wilson to put his foot down and work his magic to get this deal over the line.
