Chris Sutton reacts to Rangers signing Aaron Ramsey on deadline day

Chris Sutton has shared his reaction to Rangers sealing the major signing of Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey on deadline day.

The controversial pundit admitted that the Welshman was an exciting signing for the whole of Scottish football.

Ramsey arrived at Ibrox from Italy yesterday and is available to make his debut at Celtic Park on Wednesday evening.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Sutton couldn’t help but point towards his injury history after the deal was done.

“Aaron Ramsey is an exciting signing for Scottish football,” he wrote.

“If he’s fit he will do well for Rangers.”

Nervous?

There will be a few Celtic fans sitting in this position.

With a huge game ahead, they will know just how fired up and motivated the Bears will be after this massive piece of business was pulled off on deadline day.

Ramsey will boost the entire squad, and along with Amad Diallo, add something that no one in Scotland really has.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst now has two established international players with real Premier League quality, with Celtic not really possessing anything that can compare.

This is a deal unheard of for years in Scotland, and we’re going back to the times when the likes of Paul Gascoigne and Brian Laudrup were strutting around Ibrox.

If Ramsey can have anywhere near the same effect as those two, we will be running all the way to the bank with our success.

Hopefully, this translates onto the pitch tomorrow and we leave our local rivals empty-handed with a big return to form – fingers crossed.
