Rangers beat Spurs to sign highly-rated defender Kevin Ciubotaru – report
Rangers have won the race to sign highly-rated left-back Kevin Ciubotaru, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper has reported on their website that the Bears have beaten the likes of English duo Spurs and Watford.
It is shared that the teenager will sign a two-year deal at Ibrox once he turns 18-years-old next week.

Writing in their live blog (30 January, 20:06) the Sun shared how many clubs were in the race for the Romanian sensation.
“Rangers have also fought off a host of top clubs to land highly-rated Romanian kid, Kevin Ciubotaru,” they wrote.
“Rapid Vienna, Parma, Spurs and Watford were all battling it out for the left-back’s signature.
“But, the teenager is poised to sign a two-year deal with the Ibrox outfit when he turns 18 later this week.”

Winners.
This is a brilliant move.
It would be easy for a teenager to see interest from big English Premier League clubs such as Spurs and just jump straight into a contract there.
But, Ciubotaru has taken a step back, assessed his options and has made the right option to come to Ibrox and push for a spot under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The Romanian will be looking to offer strong competition at left-back, with Calvin Bassey now being utilised as a central defender in recent weeks and months.
Borna Barisic is guaranteed to start, just as James Tavernier is on the other side, but having these young sensations behind is brilliant for the Bears.
With a constant fight for silverware in Glasgow, as well as Champions League football on the cards, this is a brilliant place for young players, and Ciubotaru will be the latest in a long line of young talents plying their trade at Ibrox.
