Negotiations open: Rangers deep in talks to sign Juventus star Aaron Ramsey – Gianluca Di Marzio
Rangers are deep in negotiations to sign Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian journalist has reported that the Bears hold a “novelty” interest in the Welshman, with Burnley also at the table.
Ramsey is on a huge £400,000-a-week wage in Italy, so that would need to come down significantly for him to move to Ibrox [Metro].

This deal is not going to be easy.
Juventus are open to the sale of Ramsey, who has been wasting away in Turin for some years since his move from Arsenal.
The midfielder has seen his playing time basically limited to international football, and would surely jump at the chance to move.
Di Marzio has reported that Juventus are trying to define the terms of a move to take him to Scotland, so there is a willingness on both sides to get this done.

Wow.
This would be one of the biggest deadline day signings that Scottish football has ever seen in its entire history.
Ramsey, a player on gigantic wages, coming to Ibrox would be a huge statement of intent from Ross Wilson and the board.
The Welshman will just want to play football towards the end of his career, and Rangers may well be his best option.
Burnley are interested too, but what would he prefer? Go to a relegation dogfight in England, or come to Glasgow, battle for silverware and come up against Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League.
Ramsey has earned his money in Italy, so if an agreement can be made to more than half his wages, we could see this one getting announced.
