Rangers lead chase to sign Manchester City starlet James McAtee on loan – report
Rangers are leading the race to sign Manchester City sensation James McAtee on loan, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported on their website that Swansea City and Girona are also in the race for the English midfield talent.
It is suggested that City will make a decision on McAtee’s immediate future over the weekend, meaning any deal may not happen until Deadline Day (31st January).

Pep Guardiola is said to want McAtee to stay, but the young midfielder wants more senior minutes under his belt.
The Spaniard wants the 19-year-old to sign a new deal at the Etihad Stadium, before any decision is made on loan moves, too.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is a close friend of Guardiola from their time together at Barcelona, and both are said to admire each others’ style of play.
It has also been reported that the Bears boss has already shared a phone call with Pep to try and twist his arm [The 4th Official].

Sensation.
This would be another brilliant coup for the Bears.
After Amad Diallo arrived from Manchester United, it looks as though Ross Wilson is using his contacts to good authority in that area of England.
The Ivorian will likely make his debut against Ross County this afternoon, and should he make a big impact, that will send a message to McAtee.
With question marks surrounding the likes of John Lundstram as we quickly approach the deadline, this could be a perfect and much-needed addition.
Van Bronckhorst is clearly unhappy with his midfield options, with no concrete three starting each game as things stand.
McAtee could help with that, and more importantly, add another goal threat in the side – with the 19-year-old scoring 14 goals in 15 Premier League 2 appearances this season.
