Chris Jack: John Lundstram will leave Rangers in summer if not in January

Chris Jack has shared that John Lundstram is destined to leave Rangers in the imminent future with things not working out.

The reliable journalist reported that if the midfielder doesn’t leave this week, he certainly will in the summer.

Colin Armstrong shared that Lundstram is one of the highest earners at the club, despite his lack of impact since arriving.

Speaking on the Gersnet Podcast (23/01), Jack shared the chances of Lundstram leaving Ibrox already.

“If everyone is fit, he doesn’t play,” he said.

“A couple of other Championship sides are interested, I think if he doesn’t go this month, he goes in the summer.

“All parties just say, no but no thanks, it’s just not worked out.”

Stick or bust.

Lundstram has not shined since arriving in the summer with a huge reputation behind him from his time in the Premier League.

Much has been made of the difference in styles, with Sheffield United sitting back and counter-attacking, the opposite of what Rangers do.

That being said, he has been at Ibrox long enough and there should have been a shift to his performance levels, and we haven’t seen that.

Lundstram has not been favoured by Giovanni van Bronckhorst since he arrived, either, making an exit even more likely at this stage.

If it doesn’t happen this week, it certainly will in the summer, and that would free up a lot of wages to use elsewhere.
