Benjamin Siegrist keeps his cards to his chest amid Rangers rumours
Rangers are continuing to pursue Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist but the Swiss shot-stopper is yet to decide where his future lies.
The 29-year-old, who won the Golden Glove in the Under-17 World Cup in 2009 where Switzerland were crowned Champions, has played more than 100 times for the Tangerines but his contract expires this summer.
If Siegrist decides to move away from Tannadice Park, for the first time since 2018 when he signed, Rangers could be his next move with The Express reporting on 11 January he’s on their radar.

“I know what I have at United and in particular their amazing fans, but regardless of what I decide in the end, I’m going to bust my ass for them,” Siegrist said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“It always sounds like a cliche, but there is a lot of truth behind it, when a player feels complete trust, then he is also able to produce performances that nobody expected before.
“Because of the experience I’ve gained, I’ve calmed down at United, I enjoy every game, every save I make, every cross I take.
“I believe the real challenge in life is to accept who you really are and to strive for the highest possible with an unconditional belief in your strengths.”

McGregor won’t last forever
The search for a goalkeeper is not a surprising one given Allan McGregor, the current Rangers number one, is 39 years of age and nearing the end of his career.
Siegrist’s contract expiring in the summer sets up the ideal chance for Giovanni van Bronckhorst to secure his future number one way before next season starts.
It is surely something the Dutchman wants to do in order to allow him to focus on his outfield players fully, knowing his goalkeeper is secure.
It sounds like a deal is far from being agreed and the lurking presence of English Premier League club Southampton isn’t going to help the Light Blues’ case.
Siegrist will have to make a decision soon though as he won’t want to be left in limbo if Rangers find an alternative before he puts pen to paper anywhere.
In other Rangers news, Ally McCoist has labelled this month as now or never for this Rangers outcast.
