BBC Sportscene pundit Amy Irons predicts Rangers clash v Aberdeen
Amy Irons has backed Rangers to return with a bang when taking on Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be looking to continue his unbeaten start to life in Glasgow with a trip to Pittodrie on Tuesday evening (18 January).
BBC Sportscene pundit, Irons, has predicted that it will finish 2-1 to the Bears as they pick up where they left off.
Sharing her predictions for the BBC, Irons went for the clash to be just as tight as the reverse fixture earlier in the season at Ibrox.
Despite Van Bronckhorst finding that impeccable defensive record once again, she also backed the home side to find the target.
Scotland’s record goalscorer Julie Fleeting also predicted the same outcome but backed the Light Blues to leave untouched defensively.
Win at all costs.
Rangers will be looking to use this break to their advantage.
Aberdeen have been looking to be busy in the January window, but haven’t been too active with the Bears in a similar position.
John Souttar is not arriving until the summer as things stand, but James Sands could make his debut at Pittodrie.
The big loss here will be Joe Aribo, who is currently shining at the African Cup of Nations, and covering him well could determine who takes the three points.
Van Bronckhorst will have been working his players hard over the winter break, and with two weeks more of uninterrupted training under their belts, Aberdeen could be in for a long evening.
Celtic are up first this evening against Hibernian, if they drop points in that one, it will be the ultimate motivation – bring it on.
