Ross Wilson and Giovanni van Bronckhorst blow John Souttar away as Rangers close in on major signing - report
John Souttar has been left blown away by talks with Ross Wilson as Rangers close in on a major signing this month.
That’s according to the Scottish Daily Express, who report that the Hearts defender is also impressed with Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his plans.
The Bears are said to be closing in on the major pre-contract agreement that will see the 25-year-old arrive at Ibrox in the summer as things stand.
What isn’t there to love about Rangers right n?
Guaranteed Champions League football is on offer to the Scottish Premiership champions, something Souttar is eyeing up.
On top of that, the impending exit of Connor Goldson at the end of the season looks to have been used in talks.
With Goldson not agreeing to a new contract himself, the enforcer is going to leave a huge hole at Ibrox, something Souttar could fill himself.
It looks as though Wilson, with the help of van Bronckhorst, has worked his magic yet again to seal another major transfer.
Souttar had more lucrative options on the table from the likes of Sheffield United, but yet that hasn’t worked [Scottish Daily Mail].
Rangers are about to get the deal over the line with an answer expected in the coming days, with an announcement potentially coming before the trip to Aberdeen next week.
After that, attention will turn to likely trying to bring Souttar into Ibrox this month – something the defender will also likely favour.
That will be down to Hearts, though, and how stubborn they want to play ball given their own ambitions this season.
