Giovanni van Bronckhorst still wants Rangers to sign right-back as well as John Souttar and Danilho Doekhi – Chris Jack
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is still hunting for Rangers to sign a new right-back in the January transfer window, according to Chris Jack.
The Herald journalist has reported that the Bears want a direct replacement for Nathan Patterson, as well as two other signings.
Pre-contract deals for John Souttar and Danilho Doekhi are still said to be in the works and could both be done before the end of January.

Writing in his latest piece for The Herald, Jack shared the latest with a triple deal on the cards at Ibrox this month.
“Van Bronckhorst remains in the market for a replacement for Nathan Patterson following his move to Everton, while Rangers are keen to strike pre-contract deals with John Souttar and Danilho Doekhi this month,” he wrote.
Get them done.
It is all about strengthening that defence in the final three weeks of this window.
Patterson left for very good money, and if that can help sign Souttar and Doekhi to pre-contracts, as well as a permanent new right-back this month, we will all be laughing.
Connor Goldson looks set to leave Ibrox at the end of the season as things stand, with questions marks also surrounding the future of Leon Balogun.
Add to that, Jack Simpson could leave this month and Filip Helander’s recurring injuries, and there is a real problem.
Thankfully, with the help of Ross Wilson, van Bronckhorst looks keen to address those problems immediately.
It’s time to get excited again, new signings are surely imminent in Glasgow.
