Rangers kid James Maxwell opens up on future amid interest from Leeds
Rangers youngster James Maxwell has insisted that he’s in no rush to leave Ayr United.
The 20-year-old youngster is expected to remain at Somerset Park until the end of the season.
A host of clubs are linked with a move for the youngster in January, including Leeds United, according to reports from The Daily Record.

Ayr will hold talks with the player this week over a possible permanent deal for him to stay beyond the summer.
The youngster is enjoying at the club under Lee Bullen and doesn’t see his future away from the club unless there’s a good offer from another club.
“There’s a lot of reports about my future – some are true, some are not,” said Maxwell, as quoted by The Daily Record.
“But as far as I’m concerned, I’m happy playing here at Ayr.
“Unless there was something that came along that I really wanted to jump at, I can see myself staying here.”
Likely to leave
Maxwell has a contract at Rangers till the end of the season, and as of now, there’s been no deal for him from the Glasgow giants.
He has made an honest admission this week (9 January) saying he may have to leave Rangers as the competition is very high.
A permanent deal at Ayr United is most likely to happen unless Leeds or any other club come up with a good offer.

Rangers have depth in their left-back areas, and it is really difficult for the youngster to break into the side at the moment.
The full-back is a highly-rated young talent who has scored two goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances in all competitions this season.
Leeds could be an interesting option for him. Despite signing Junior Firpo in the summer, the Whites could still look to add some extra depth in that position
