Dundee United resigned to losing Benjamin Siegrist already as Rangers ready contract offer – report
Dundee United are already resigned to losing Benjamin Siegrist as Rangers plot a pre-contract offer in the January window.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who progressed their story online from their print edition this morning with the keeper in the final six months of his deal at Tannadice.
Tam Courts has already moved this month to bring in Finland international Carljohan Eriksson in the first week of the window.

No move would happen until the summer though, with no talks of an agreement being brought forward to this month.
The Bears are the expert in this market, and could easily make this a permanent move before the end of the month.
We have seen the likes of Scott Wright and Jack Simpson sign pre-contracts but then be brought in straight away last year, so why not again?

Planning early.
Much of this will depend on Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin.
Both of our senior keepers will see their current contracts run out at the end of this season, and there have been no talks of renewals yet.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be watching the situation closely and keeping in contact with Ross Wilson, as they look to plan ahead.
Siegrist isn’t the first keeper linked either, with St Johnstone’s Zander Clark also said to be watched ahead of a potential pre-contract deal [Daily Record].
If nothing happens this month, we can expect movement in the next couple of months regarding new contract talks for the likes of McGregor – this is one to watch.
