Crysencio Summerville unlikely to join Rangers on loan from Leeds United
Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville is not on Rangers list of targets for the January window, according to Daily Record.
ITV commentators Sam Matterface and Seb Hutchison claimed during Leeds’ FA Cup defeat to West Ham on Sunday that the Dutchman had received offers from Rangers and Blackburn Rovers.
The Scottish Daily Mail also reported via their print edition on 1 January [page 112] that the Ibrox outfit were considering a loan move for the Dutch winger, 20, but Record Sport claim “he is not on a list of targets for January.”
Rangers really could do with attacking reinforcements before the winter transfer window shuts, but conflicting reports are emerging over the Leeds sensation.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s arrival would always see a lot of Dutch players linked with the Premiership giants, and it appears that is what is happening here.
Despite the ITV and Daily Mail reports, not a lot of reports have come from England concerning the links, with any of Leeds popular correspondents yet to comment on it.
Given that he has only shone largely for their under-23s, it is normal if the Elland Road outfit want him to go elsewhere where he can get regular senior team football.
GvB and Summerville worked together at Feyenoord, with the Rangers boss giving him his big break at the Eredivisie outfit.
However, it does not appear that a reunion at Govan is on the cards.
The Light Blues could do with such an explosive winger, though, but it appears they do not have him on their target list at the moment.
In other Rangers news, a report has shared which players GvB will allow to leave Ibrox this month.
